Benjamin Sturdy, O.D. graduated with distinction from Southern College of Optometry in 2009 after earning his Bachelor's Degree in human biology from the University of Kansas.  He then completed his residency in ocular disease under Dr. Paul Ajamian at OMNI Eye Services in Atlanta, GA.  He then completed additional requirements and testing to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.  He started practicing in Colorado in 2010 at ICON Eye Care as the Director of Education and Quality.  In a commitment to advance the optometric profession, Dr. Sturdy created ICON's first accredited residency position in coordination with the Pacific University College of Optometry and served as the Residency Coordinator.  In late 2021, Dr. Benjamin Sturdy acquired New Visions and Opticians 2 from Dr. Clausen and Kathy Fincher.  Dr. Sturdy is committed to providing comprehensive eye care using state-of-the-art technology to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Outside of his passion for vision, Dr. Sturdy enjoys spending time exploring Colorado with his family, including four children!

Dr. Keesey comes to Modern Eyes with over 16 years of experience providing comprehensive eye care in a private practice setting, which includes the treatment and management of anterior and posterior segment eye disease and glaucoma, ocular emergencies, foreign body removal, contact lenses, pediatric eye exams, and post-operative surgical co-management. Her clinic experience also includes training at the University of Chicago’s Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM) Eye Center, the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, and Wesley-Jessen’s VisionCare Specialists Contact Lens and Eye Care Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. Dr. Keesey graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in bioengineering. After completion of her undergraduate degree, she attended the Illinois College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude as her class valedictorian. In addition to the Valedictory Award, she received numerous honors, including the Presidential Scholarship, the Beta Sigma Kappa Medal, and induction into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and the Tomb and Key Honor Fraternity. In her spare time, Dr. Keesey enjoys skiing, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Kevin Anderson attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Western Illinois University for undergraduate studies. After three years of education, Dr. Anderson transferred to Illinois College of Optometry and graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1987.  He began caring for patients of the Optical Gallery on January 4, 1988 - a long history of excellent care that continues at Modern Eyes!

Dr. Anderson is committed to providing the most thorough and comprehensive primary eye care in Colorado, using the latest technology and professional continuing education to remain on the forefront of eye care. To educate and inspire our patients with a complete understanding of their eye health is priority number one.  He is a Colorado Board Certified Therapeutic Optometrist, practicing full-scope primary eye care. Subspecialties include Specialty Contact Lenses, Pre- and Post-Op care for laser correction, Dry eye syndrome and Keratoconus.
